Night, silence fell.
Stars dotted the sky, the moon hid behind clouds.
Su Mo tossed and turned in her bed, she had too much water drinking hot pot at dinner, and what's more maddening than needing the bathroom in the middle of the night?
She irritably threw off her covers and hazily sat up, putting on a coat and squinting as she stepped outside.
As soon as she opened the door, she bumped straight into someone.
"Ahhhhh!" Xia Miaomiao was frightened.
"Miaomiao, it's me, Su Mo..." Su Mo said weakly.
Only then did Xia Miaomiao recognize Su Mo, breathing a sigh of relief, "Su Mo, you scared me to death, why don't you keep your eyes open when you walk?"
"I'm not fully awake, needing the bathroom in the middle of the night really is annoying." Su Mo still squinted as she spoke.
"Me too, let's go together."
The two headed towards the toilet, but after a few steps, the sound of sobbing seemed to come from the corner up ahead.
Xia Miaomiao froze, stopping in her tracks.
Su Mo was still squinting, not really noticing Xia Miaomiao's behavior, and kept walking forward. Xia Miaomiao grabbed her.
"Su Mo, wait, did you hear crying?" Xia Miaomiao was oddly afraid.

The black shadow scurried on the ground, a pair of slimy green eyes staring at Su Mo and Xia Miaomiao.
Xia Miaomiao was scared witless, cowering behind Su Mo's back, shivering, "Su Mo, i-is it a g-ghost?"
Su Mo looked closely and breathed a sigh of relief, "It looks like a black cat, don't be afraid, no such things as ghosts in this world! And you call yourself modern!"
"That black cat...isn't it too creepy?" Xia Miaomiao was still terrified, "Black cats are really scary in horror movies!"
"It's fine, let's hurry and pee." Su Mo soothed, pulling Xia Miaomiao towards the corner.
Just after turning the corner, the two saw a figure crouching on the ground, head buried in his knees.
Hair draped over his head, black tresses falling to the ground.
"Ahhhhhhh!!!!" Hugging each other tightly, the two girls screamed and jumped again!
After screaming, the two realized this seemed to be...a person??
The sound of sorrowful weeping drifted over, scaring their legs numb.
"Hey, who are you? Why are you crying here?" Su Mo worked up the courage to ask.
The person didn't respond, still burying his head in his knees sobbing, the sound was woeful beyond measure.
"If you...don't answer again, don't blame me for being rude!" Su Mo threatened.
Su Mo slowly sidled closer, wanting to pull him to his feet.
"Hey!" Su Mo flicked his clothes with her finger.
Only then did the person slowly lift his head to look at Su Mo, his eyes were white, blood flowing from below, his whole face ghastly pale, lips cracked. The blood flowing from his eyes was shockingly bright.
"Ahhhhh!" Su Mo was so frightened she fell on her butt.
Xia Miaomiao saw the person's appearance now too. Before she could scream, she directly fainted from fear.
"Are...you...calling...me?" A mournful moan drifted over. Su Mo scrambled backwards in fright.
"Are...you...a haunted house NPC?"
"Give back...my life...give back..." The person crawled towards Su Mo.
"Hey...I'm warning you...that's enough!" Su Mo's legs were now jelly, though she was very good at fighting, she didn't dare go to haunted houses!
Before the person could get closer to Su Mo, suddenly, a long sword flew over, directly planting itself in front of the person.
Seeing the tassels on the sword's hilt, Su Mo knew it was Wu Ying who had come.
"Impersonating ghosts and gods!" Wu Ying walked over, helping Su Mo to her feet.
"Su Mo, take your friend back to your room first." Wu Ying said in his deep voice.
Su Mo looked at Wu Ying and puckered her lips pitifully, "But I need to pee..."
"...Then...go first." Wu Ying was a little embarrassed.
With Wu Ying here, Su Mo was no longer so afraid. She walked over and shook Xia Miaomiao awake.
"Ah! Su Mo, g-ghost! Ghost!" Xia Miaomiao threw herself into Su Mo's arms.

Su Mo looked at the man, "Now, can you talk? Why were you pretending to be a ghost to scare people?"
