Jiang Xinlei muttered under her breath outside the hotel room.
The thought of the impending trouble that would befall Luo Zheng, made a sudden smugness form in her eyes and she appeared extremely menacing.
Knock-knock!
She knocked on the door instead of rushing to open it.
After all, she was well aware that the door could only be unlocked from outside. Hence, she did not wish to open the door easily, lest Luo Zheng leaves.
“Zheng, I’m Xinlei! Are you feeling better? Bear with it, Senior Mubai will be here soon!”
At this juncture, Jiang Xinlei was still trying to use Xi Mubai to stall time.
The obvious reason being, she knew better than anyone else, just how smitten Luo Zheng was with Xi Mubai. She could bear with anything for his sake!
However, she did not get any response.
“Zheng, aren’t you in there?”
She was reminded of Luo Zheng calling her to inform her of her intentions to leave.
She thought, maybe, she really found someone to open the door for her. That is not impossible... after all, heiresses of wealthy families are all spoiled and unable to take hardship!
Jiang Xinlei was young and impatient. The thought of Luo Zheng’s absence made her barge in to take a look.
As soon as she entered, the door was slammed shut and locked behind her.
Jiang Xinlei frantically pulled the handle in a bid to open the door. Pangs of panic engulfed her and she exclaimed, “What’s going on? I didn’t close the door! How did that happen?”
She was the one who chose that room which could be locked from outside, thus forbidding anyone from exiting... However, there was no one outside, so she could not understand how the door got locked. Did it happen by accident!?!
How do I get out then?
It was the top floor of the hotel where there were no surveillance cameras because the hotel wanted to protect the privacy of their customers. The service staff would not go up easily too... if necessary, the guests could call the front desk. However, Jiang Xinlei was the one who cut the wires of the landline in the room!
She had practically shot herself in the foot!

Jiang Xinlei began knocking on the door anxiously after confirming that Luo Zheng was not in the room.
Luo Zheng gently locked the door from outside and returned to the room next door with a smirk on her face.
Luo Zheng was unsure of what time it was because her mobile phone had already run out of power.
However, she reckoned that the show would start soon.
