The reception room within the academy; in this room that could comfortably fit twenty people, representatives from various countries were gathered.
Three kings: Middleton, Diageo, and Grantz; and then, Marquis Ramsay and Duke Loretto.
On the other hand, Fiddiq Academy had Glenn and me present. The royalty and high-ranking nobles were lined up around the U-shaped table, starting from the back. I was the only one without a peerage. A luxurious chandelier hung from the ceiling, and thick carpets were spread on the floor. Somehow, I felt very out of place.
By the way, it seems that Rhea was having a girls' night out with Fiol. Since their two sons were friends, their conversation must be lively.
As I was thinking about that, there was a knock on the door from outside. A maid entered the room pushing a serving cart, and came into the open part of the U-shaped table.
Watching the maid place the dishes on each table, I was impressed. It seemed this shape was for the ease of serving the food.
I curiously stared at the maid's serving. As expected, the maid's gestures and the flow of serving were very smooth and refined. However, I wondered if there had even been maids in this academy.
As I was thinking about that, Glenn unexpectedly opened his mouth.
"Well then, Isaac-kun should be arriving soon, but it's getting late…."
Glenn began to speak in a tone that questioned whether the social gathering should be started first. I wondered if the person named Isaac was the representative of the Cote Highlands Federation.
If so, the leading figures of the six major powers would be gathered in this one room.
In a way, it was like a summit. Thinking that, I waited for the continuation of Glenn's sentence.
Then, there was another knock on the door. The door was opened from outside, and another maid stepped into the room.
"Excuse me. Isaac Wolf Butler, a member of parliament from the Cote Highlands Federation, has arrived."
The maid announced that, gave a deep bow, and stopped by the doorway with the door open. A man with crimson hair then appeared. He was a bearded man with a somewhat tired expression. He was probably in his forties or just before fifty.
The man called Isaac bowed once to everyone and entered the room.
"It's been a while, everyone."
Isaac gave a brief greeting with a smile and sat down at the empty seat in front of me.
"Isaac-dono. It's been a long time."
"I feel like I haven't seen your face in a long time."
Middleton and Ramsay replied to Isaac's greeting. Isaac nodded with a wry smile and exchanged a few words with each of them, and the initial greetings came to an end. Then, Isaac stopped his gaze on my face.
"Are you Aoi Konominato-sensei?"
"Ah, yes. I am Aoi."
When I answered, Isaac smiled.
"I am always indebted to you for my son and daughter. I am the father of Cote Hedge Butler and Ayle Hedge Butler."
Looking at Isaac, who was bowing, I nodded, remembering something.
"Oh, Cote-kun and Ayle-san's… It's my pleasure to meet you. Both of them are very diligent and good children."
When I told him about their study habits at the academy, Isaac tilted his head with a wry smile.
"Really? Well, it's an excuse, but as their parent, I'm unable to take care of them often due to my work… When I went back home last year, they were still restless and I was worried that they might be causing trouble at the academy."
"Not at all, father... both of them are truly diligent and excellent students. Especially Cote-kun, he is very caring and even stepped in to help a younger female student who was being bullied. He is a topic of conversation among the faculty as a model student."
I carefully replied to Isaac's humble attitude. It felt good to have a conversation like a teacher and a parent for the first time.
Then, with a self-deprecating smile, Middleton opened his mouth.
"Isn't that story also related to my foolish son? Isaac-dono. I would like to talk with you about it later."
"Oh, no, no… it must just be because they have too much energy…"
Isaac shook his head from side to side, embarrassed by Middleton's words. The people who couldn't follow the story looked at each other, but it wasn't something that needed to be discussed openly.
Glenn gave a cough to cut off the flow of the conversation.

At Glenn's words, Middleton and the others nodded readily.
"I have no objections."

"That saves me. I've been hungry since a while ago."
