Chapter 82 - Sign it!
Xiu Mei, who was left dumbstruck alone on the bed, stared agape at the bathroom door where Lu Chen disappeared into. Ever since he left her in a mess after that... that... ultimate temptation awhile ago, Xiu Mei suddenly had this impulse run away from Lu Chen.
Patting her chest, she tried to calm down her crazily beating heart. It was beating so fast as if she had just finished running a 1 km run.
Damn it! Just even remembering that abs and muscles... Xiu Mei blushed even harder as she remembered Lu Chen dragging her hand and brushed it over on his muscles. His hand was hot, but his skin was even warmer. And that look he gave her, it looked he was going to eat her alive.
Aaaaaaah! She should stop thinking about it! Stop thinking about his abs!!
Xiu Mei once again tortured her hair by pulling on it again as she groaned in frustration after thinking such perverted thoughts. Wait, could that even be considered perverted thoughts?
Though it was her who first(accidentally!) did it, it was Lu Chen who did the initiative afterward. She was the one that got pushed on the bed, and it was her hand that was forced to take advantage of Lu Chen’s body. It was Lu Chen’s own volition so... then isn’t she the victim?
But after what happened, why did she suddenly feel like she was the perverted one?
Xiu Mei bit her lip while thinking. Her gaze stopped on the door as she glared daggers to it as if she was glaring at the actual person behind that door.
Weird. There’s something wrong! She feels like she had just walked into a trap and discovered the truth too late. From when she impulsively signed the contract, then getting her to submit to Lu Chen, and now being played by him. Weirdly, she noticed that she was reacting impulsively.
If it was before, she wouldn’t even budge seeing eight-pack abs at all but now... her rationality was slowly slipping away.
Xiu Mei held her head in distress. God, what was happening to her? This won’t do. She have to do something before she gets carried away with Lu Chen’s antics.
She was now having a full realization of Lu Chen’s cunningness. He was being sneaky!
So that’s why she was feeling weird. She was dancing at Lu Chen’s palm all this time!! Damn it!!
Fifteen minutes later, Lu Chen got out of the bathroom door just in white robes. He was expecting to see Xiu Mei somewhere inside the room but to his surprise, she was nowhere to be seen.
"Wife?" He called out.
Where did Xiu Mei go?
His answer was quickly answered when the door of his room opened and Xiu Mei walked in. His expression instantly softened but his gaze stops on the paper and pen Xiu Mei was holding. Best to add to that is Xiu Mei’s current smug expression. She was now looking at him as if she was going to report something worth millions and that she would definitely be praised because of it.
Before he could open his mouth to ask what it was, Xiu Mei smugly smiled as she walked passed by him and went straight back to the bed. After sitting on the side of the bed, with her pointy finger, she pointed it to Lu Chen and curled it towards her. She was gesturing to Lu Chen to come to her, and whilst confused, Lu Chen still followed the wife’s orders and stood in front of her.
With the other person on the bed looking up at him and the other one looking down at her, Xiu Mei didn’t feel overwhelmed at all. Somehow, the dignified and majestic aura Lu Chen usually has in the office, she couldn’t find a trace of it at all right now.
All she could see right now is Lu Chen, and just him alone. Not the CEO, not her boss, and most definitely not Lu Qiang’s father.
"In addition to the 1-year limit, I still want to add some terms on the contract." Xiu Mei held out the paper in front of her and raised it high enough for Lu Chen to read the contents.
Lu Chen quickly skimmed over the added terms and as he read the written contents on each number, his face grew darker.
1. No intimate skinship unless permitted.
2. Separate bedrooms to keep each other’s privacy.
3. Be honest with each other.
4. Do not control each other’s freedom.
He can understand the number 3 and 4, but he is very much against with number 1 and 2!! How can he seduce his wife if no skinship is allowed, and with Xiu Mei’s current attitude, if he tries to ask permission, won’t he get hit first before Xiu Mei runs away?
His wife is too intelligent for her own good and it was very difficult for him to convince her to marry him right? If he doesn’t put all his efforts into seducing her, then won’t Xiu Mei really runaway from him after a year?
Lu Chen frowned as he complained to his wife that he was still chasing.
"Denied."
"Oh, then let’s divorce."
"Denied."
"I’m pretty sure just a call and my brothers would be very happy to do it for me." Xiu Mei beamed a smile at him, her expression telling him that unless he adheres to her added terms, this marriage would cease to exist.
"..."
"...Sign it."
"We don’t need to that."
"Sign it,... or I can just call my brothers."
Funny, their situation have become reversed. Now it is Xiu Mei who’s forcing Lu Chen to sign something.
"..."
"...I still have your phone."
"...."
Xiu Mei: Damn it, he’s right!
"...I’ll figure out a way to get my hands on a phone."
"You dare?"
"I very much do, Mr. Lu."
Lu Chen sighed in frustration as he looked at the paper in front of him again and then back to Xiu Mei’s face. Even though he is very capable of not signing this doc.u.ment, seeing Xiu Mei’s determined eyes, he was very sure that it would be a bloody battle before she gives up.
She was very stubborn, proven with how many times she rejected his proposal. And right now, it felt like time was repeating itself. Once Xiu Mei decides on something, it would be very difficult for him to change it. Just like how she’s very determined to make him sign this paper now.
He sighed in defeat. Finally making his decision, Lu Chen pulled out the drawer and grabbed the pen inside. Uncapping it, he accepted the paper in Xiu Mei’s hands and placed it on the bedside table.
His hand hovered over the paper, but his movements quickly stopped before he could put his signature. Lu Chen blinked as he read the contents once again and an idea popped in his mind.
Xiu Mei, who was excitedly waiting for Lu Chen to sign the doc.u.ment, tilted her head in confusion when she noticed Lu Chen’s movements stopped a second before he could sign on the paper.
Was he going to complain about the terms again?
She was just about to open her mouth to ask him, when a hand landed on her shoulder and she was suddenly pushed back on the bed.
Before she could even react, Lu Chen’s face lowered once again and stopped near her face. She could smell the scent of mint from him, which must be because of the shampoo he was using.
Xiu Mei’s breath hitched and she fell speechless as she almost got hypnotized to Lu Chen’s pair of eyes again. Those two dark pools of eyes seemingly becoming a trap that was pulling her into him.
Lu Chen lowered his head even more and stopped just beside her ear.
"Wife." He called out to her but this time, his voice was so beguiling almost trapping her in a spell.
She was getting lured by him again, and she barely stopped herself from completely falling into the honey trap he had set up.
"Lu Chen, what are you doing?!" She did her best to sound annoyed and frustrated but inevitably failed. Her words sounded more like a kitten whimpering, as it tried to resist its owner’s charms.
"Wife." He repeated.
Her body was trembling nervously again as Lu Chen slowly pressed his head onto her.
She was still gathering her energy to try to push him away when she felt something soft pressing behind her ears. It was Lu Chen’s lips.
Instantly, Xiu Mei turned stiff on her place as Lu Chen finally pulled away after doing his final move before signing the paper.
Lu Chen stood back up and glanced at the frozen Xiu Mei who was now dozing off looking at the ceiling. She looked like her soul was just taken away and wasn’t moving.
He chuckled. Ah, too cute. Too tempting. He is very much enjoying teasing her like this.
But he should really stop now.
Lu Chen returned his attention on the paper and lifted the pen once again.
A few seconds later, Lu Chen’s name and signature were finally on the paper.
